Zodiac Academy: The Complete Series Reading Order
I get asked about this series more than almost anything else in my inbox, usually some version of "I keep seeing Zodiac Academy everywhere, where do I even start?" So here's the answer: start at book one and just keep going. Unlike the Maasverse, there's no reading-order debate here. Nine books, one order, and a lot of chaos along the way.
🔥 Getting Started
Book one, The Awakening, is where twin sisters Tory and Darcy Vega find out they're not human, they're Fae, and get thrown headfirst into Zodiac Academy, a school for the magical elite that was absolutely not built with them in mind. It's fast, it's chaotic, and the enemies-to-lovers energy starts almost immediately, so buckle up.
From there you're into Ruthless Fae and The Reckoning, where the mate bonds start tightening and the trials start actually costing people something. This is where the series stops being "fun new school setting" and starts being the thing I lose sleep over.
⚔️ The Middle Stretch
Cursed Fates, Shadow Princess, and Fated Throne are where the found-family element really comes into its own, and also where the emotional stakes started genuinely wrecking me. I remember exactly where I was sitting when I finished Shadow Princess. Don't read that one during a week you need to function normally.
🌩️ The Endgame
By Heartless Sky things get bigger, darker, and more political, and I mean that as a compliment, this is peak "I need the next book immediately" territory. Sorrow and Starlight plays exactly like the penultimate book it is; everything you've been building toward finally starts colliding. And then Restless Stars is the finale. No spoilers, but bring tissues and clear your schedule, because you are not putting this book down halfway through.
💡 A Few Things to Know Before You Start
This is a reverse harem series with four love interests, so if that's not your thing, this isn't the series for you, and that's completely fair. It's also spicy — not ACOTAR-spicy, more — so consider yourself warned. And it's a real time commitment, but it reads fast once you're hooked. You will get hooked.
🖤 If You Loved This
Zodiac Academy scratches a very specific itch: fated mates, magic-school stakes, and morally gray everyone. If you want more of that, start the Maasverse with ACOTAR (The Ultimate Maasverse Reading Order), or check out What to Read After ACOTAR for more in the same lane.
Where are you in the series right now, and who's your favorite of the four? Drop it in the comments, I want to know who broke your heart the most.
