Dearest kindred spirit,

I’m Jessica — though around these parts, I go by Lady Bergamot, your resident bookish hostess and devoted keeper of the library.

By sunlight, I tend to the quiet hum of data — sorting patterns, smoothing chaos, and lending logic to the world as an Operations Data Analyst. But once the evening light softens and the kettle sings, I slip into something far more magical: storytelling, reading, writing, and a touch of creative mischief.

My library is a sanctuary for stories and slow living. You’ll often find me with dirt under my fingernails from the garden, herbs hanging to dry beside half-finished crochet projects, or a teacup balanced atop a stack of unread books. I'm raising a wild-hearted little one, a boy with a giggle like sunshine, and when the stars begin their quiet vigil, I gather my woven blanket close, sip something herbal and honeyed, and drift into that liminal space between fiction and feeling.

“Take me to the lakes, where all the poets went to die.” (Taylor knows.)

I cherish the in-between moments —
🫖 that first sip of tea at dawn, when the world is still stretching awake
🧶 the quiet rhythm of yarn slipping through fingers, one stitch at a time
📖 the sharp inhale when a plot twist blooms unexpectedly
🍯 the scent of cinnamon and sugar warming the air on a rainy afternoon
🌙 the hush of nightfall, when the house exhales and I finally slip into lamplit pages and wandering thoughts

What I Read (and Adore)

Genres? I say yes to them all. If it’s full of heart, magic, mystery, or longing — it belongs here. I’m an equal-opportunity book devourer with an ever-growing TBR and a hopeless romantic's soul.

Come Sit a Spell

If you love to wander between pages and garden rows — you’ve found your people. Lady Bergamot’s Library is more than a blog; it’s a gathering place for those who believe books are magic and tea is a love language.

So pull up a chair. There’s always a story waiting — and the kettle’s on.
