Hercule Poirot's Christmas (Hercule Poirot #20)
by Agatha Christie
4 out of 5 stars
Agatha Christie delivers a masterful holiday mystery in Hercule Poirot’s Christmas, a classic locked-room whodunit featuring the famous Belgian detective. When a wealthy, cruel patriarch is murdered in his locked bedroom on Christmas Eve, the entire dysfunctional family becomes a suspect.
Christie’s signature wit and intricate plotting shine in this novel, weaving a web of red herrings and cleverly placed clues. Poirot is at his best, using his little grey cells to unravel the mystery, and the tension between family members adds to the intrigue. While the solution is satisfying, some readers may find the pacing a bit slow in parts.
For fans of classic mysteries and holiday-themed crime novels, Hercule Poirot’s Christmas is a must-read.
